For years, the Adriatic Sea has been an attractive destination for wealthy people who like to come here and sail on their super-yachts and This year, some of the most impressive yachts in the world came to the Croatian part of the Adriatic, reports on August 22, 2018.

One of them is Pelorus, a mega-yacht owned by Chinese billionaire Sam Li. It is 115 metres long and its value is estimated at about 214 million euro. It has changed several owners so far, all of them billionaires, of course.

Pelorus was first built for a wealthy Saudi man, who sold it to Roman Abramovich after just a few months. The Russian entrepreneur later lost it during divorce proceedings with his wife Daša, who sold it to David Geffen, a co-founder of a Hollywood film studio. The yacht was then sold to a royal family from Abu Dhabi and was later bought by Li.

Numerous musicians, including David Guetta and MC Hammer, have performed on the yacht for Li. On Saturday, OneRepublic joined them and held a performance on the mega yacht. The band was brought to Croatia just to perform for Li, and afterward they left the country. For the concert on his yacht, Li reportedly paid 1.9 million kuna.

In addition to Pelorus, the Croatian Adriatic was visited this summer by the 100-million-dollar Vibrant Curiosity yacht owned by German billionaire Reinhold Wuerth. The most expensive yacht this year on the Adriatic was Katara owned by a Qatar sheikh. Its value is estimated at about 300 million dollars.
