Marina Zaton is located in the SW end of the Šibenik Bay, 10 km from the city of Šibenik, where the river Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea. The Prokljan Lake is opposite the entrance to the marina. Situated in a deep and well-sheltered Zaton bay, the marina offers great a protection from all winds and waves. There is a supermarket, post office, ambulance, private accommodation, shops and restaurants in the picturesque village of Zaton, located 500 m from the marina.  The nearest fuel station is in Šibenik, 4 nm NW from the marina.

The marina is well connected to Šibenik and other towns in Croatia by local bus service and road network. Split Airport and Zadar Airport are both approximately a one-hour-drive from Zaton.
The Sveti Ante Channel is a narrow channel that leads to the city and the port of Šibenik. The entrance to the channel is south of the small holiday resort of Jadrija. More specifically, between cape Jadrija (NW), Ročni islet (SE), which is a rocky shoal marked with a light beacon, and Sv. Nikola island (E). The narrow channel extends NE for a mile before opening out into the bay of Šibenik. Note that there are many rocks and shoals, which are all marked by lighted beacons or buoys. When exiting the channel, be careful of the big shoal (near the Paklena Cape) to the east. Once in the bay of Šibenik, go three miles NW to reach the marina Zaton in the Zaton Bay.
