Looking to charter a yacht in Croatia? Take a walk through the More 55 with 45 Degrees Sailing to get some insight.

If you are looking to charter a sailing yacht in Croatia, there are literally thousands of options in terms of boats, charter companies and agencies… If you are new to the yachting world, it has the potential to turn into a daunting task – what to look for, which yacht to choose and who to trust?

We recently wrote about Croatia Yachting winning the ‘Best Charter Company in Croatia’ at the Croatian Days of Tourism Awards, genuine guest experiences aboard Gulet Linda and prior to that we introduced to the two agents from Acantho Croatia Charter Holidays.

We want to continue to find new and unique ways to share stories from the Nautical sector in Croatia which will help you make some decisions, the ultimate being – to come sailing in Croatia!

Now, we want to introduce you to 45 Degrees Sailing, a kiwi couple – Nick and Mahina Hathaway, who charter yachts in Croatia for their guests. Nick vlogs their experiences sailing and a very interesting aspect is that he has started vlogging boat reviews, which is extremely useful to those looking to charter a yacht.

Like I said, trying to choose a yacht and charter company to work with, can be a little overwhelming; but for now, let’s focus on the ‘choosing the yacht’ aspect. All you have to go from are photos and potentially promo videos from the internet but what they don’t show is the liveability and usability of the yacht (because let’s face it, professional photos can be quite generous sometimes) …

Nick and Mahi came out sailing with us when we took out the Hanse 455 from Croatia Yachting, check out the video below…

And since, Nick has been keeping busy, reviewing different boats he visited at the Biograd Boat Show. I was really happy to meet Nick and Mahi and discover these videos as I think they are genuinely helpful; so, in our bid to share new and genuine content with you all, I thought these vlogs were a great place to start.

Today, let’s check out the More 55; now, Nick and Mahi had already told me of their love for this boat before they did a walkthrough at the Boat Show. More is a Croatian company and the design studio team is led by Maurizio Cossutti; More boats pride themselves on their luxury design, working with high-quality materials and smart solutions for easy handling during sailing and maintenance. One look at the boat and it is easy to see that More were definitely made for sailing – ‘with classic mast and gennaker specially reinforced and equipped for active sailing, this boat is ideal for all those seeking adrenaline but also for those looking for peaceful and luxurious sailing. Innovative solutions, magnificent interiors and excellent performances of this impressive and powerful yacht are its best characteristics which sets it apart from all yachts in this range (info from official More Boats).

The perfect balance between performance sailing and luxury-comfort cruising, suitable for any experience level and the layout makes it comfortable, even for ‘first-timers’.

When Nick and Mahi first described the More 55 to me, they were first captured by the beautiful, sleek lines and the layout – as their guests’ comfort is #1. So, let’s go for a walk-through of the More 55 with Nick and Mahi and see what it’s all about.

As you can see, they were still super-impressed with everything about the boat, the only thing that let it down, was the customer service from the team, which is a real shame if you have a great product…

I hope this was useful, you can look forward to us sharing more reviews like this and if you have a particular question or would like to see a yacht reviewed, reach out to us on our Facebook page, email: This email address is being protected from spambots.
