MARINA ACI Marina Cres

The island of Cres is home to the ACI Marina Cres, situated in a small town of the same name. Cres Island is along with Krk, is the largest island in Croatia.  The island lies in the Kvarner Gulf, between the Istrian peninsula and the islands of Krk and Rab. It can be reached via ferry from Rijeka, the island of Krk (Valbiska-Merag line) or from the Istrian peninsula (Brestova-Porozina line). The marina is located at the S end of the inlet of Cres Town, just 20 minutes’ walk outside of the town centre. It offers an excellent refuge from all winds. ACI Marina Cres is the proud owner of the Blue Flag, an award given to marinas (or beaches) with the perfect water quality and the environmental awareness of the local management. The marina is open all year round.


The large marina has the total capacity of 461 wet berths and 70 dry berths, all of which are equipped with water and electricity. It can accommodate mega yachts up to 50 m in length.

Useful Information

The entrance to ACI Marina Cres is marked by a red light on the breakwater head and a green light on Martinski islet. There is an underwater rock in the immediate vicinity of Cape Melin near the marina entrance, and a distance of at least 50m from the cape should be maintained.  

There is an ambulance, pharmacy, post office, police, town museum and gallery, private accommodation, farmers’ market, fish market and supermarket in the town of Cres. Locals often sell their home-grown vegetables, fruits and olive oil in front of their homes.

The nearest airports are on the island of Mali Lošinj and Krk.
